This?week Coldcut return to the show and it’s a live DJ set from Matt Black at the Energy Union party in Brussels earlier this year. It starts with classic selections from Kwanzaa Posse, Armando Trovajol, Mr Scruff and a KC Flightt hip house track from ’87. Then it’s a more recent cut with the Redshape remix of Martyn’s ‘Seventy Four’ and we keep the pace with DJ Naughty, the epic Seiji mix of ‘Timber’, Joy Orbison and another track from Martyn, before dropping down with Ed Solo, Bassnectar and The Bug.

继Coldcut的Re:volution头版面世并炸了窝之后：

07年底Coldcut和TV Sheriff联手完成了（可能是）第二版的Revolution。Coldcut用他劲爆的迪曲儿和TVS牛逼的素材拼接（据小熊说Coldcut开发过一软件，专门干这音画对应使的），再次耍了帝国主义列强一把：

第二次的爆红，使得这出革命大戏注定要唱下去。

08年底Coldcut和TV Sheriff 的Revolution 08版呼啸而至，在保持着拿各路领导人开涮的前提下，他们把08版的音乐风格定位在折腾无极限的DnB上，主题选材精准的定位在米国总书记选举上：

08版改革开放专题片的选题确实不错，音乐也还可以。但不过不知道是不是素材不足，感觉这次影像和音乐的结合没有以往那么好了，而且亮点也没有前两次那么多。

记得Coldcut年初在Song的演出，还演了Re:volution来着，那次是我头一回看Re:volution，印象特别深。有两个区别于mv的最大的特点是，一个是，我记得江氏没有在那段影片里。另外，那段影片最后，音乐停了之后，有一段白，影片上是一个好像是穿蓝色西服的一个英美老头子的电视讲话片段。那段出来之后，全场都炸了。我们这些不知道这段影片的人，肯定是觉得这段插入得很巧妙。而那些知道这段影片的鬼佬们，肯定除了巧妙，还能感受到这段讲话的针刺性。太牛逼了，双赢！

希望这回中国改革开放30年，或者明年中国建国60年，TVS和Coldcut这对组合再给来一片儿。。。

Strictly Kev takes over for the second hour with vintage Solid Steel from 1996. More gems from the mine, this edition being the first show that Strictly Kev had sole control over without Coldcut or PC. “It was recorded in the heyday of ‘The Blue Note years’ as I like to think of them, the days when Hoxton was still a new haunt for club kids and tourists in the know, pre-333, Cargo, Herbal, White Cube and all the others that came after. This week (18th July) DJ Moneyshot is ready to bang in your face baby!! Music on the platters from The Aston Shuffle, Sam Moultrie, Crookers, Black Grass and more gems to get the weekend well and truly up and running! Revival time! PC from DJ Food with another vintage slice of Solid Steel from 1997. The sets incorporate his trademark Boss delay pedal, spoken word, Jazz, Music Concréte, Drum n Bass and heavy beats, all sewn together so seamlessly that it’s impossible to spot the joins. His mastery of the art of DJing never ceases to amaze, as his style is extremely musical but instinctive too, always riding the rhythm and aware of the space around or within a track. Tracks from Charles Earland, Squarepusher and Alvin Lucier to name but a few. Pure Class!

当全国人民还跟‘燕舞，燕舞’较劲的时候，coldcut的house就已经风靡欧美了。当年他们的一些经典曲目以及后来他们做的一些，04年由BMG搓堆儿出版了。

尽管风格跟现在差了不少，但冲着coldcut，以及幻想着这些东西在燕舞年代有多么多么尖儿之后，还是收藏起来了。其实也没那么惨，这里可以比较着听到两个早期CC版的Autumn Leaves。最后的French Version应该更贴近后来他们正经发的那版。还有永不退流行的9分钟大house ‘People Hold On’……

20周年的回顾活动已经陆续开始，bosbos.net从月初就开始陆续刊载Strictly Kev的回顾文章，而今年的solid steel也多会围绕20周年进行，2月1号 coldcut又在solid steel来了一把回顾back to 88′，暖场的是boom monk ben。
